Countdown

About

Born in Saint John, Countdown is a way for patriotic Canadian's to get a head start celebrating the birth of their nation in a way we know best. With good music and good beer. Canada Day Countdown takes place every year on June 30th, Canada Day Eve, and includes a 19+ beer garden, headliner musicians, amusement rides, pyrotechnics at midnight, and more. With a national holiday following Countdown, party-goers don't have a single worry about an early morning alarm call for work. Since its debut in 2005, Countdown has hosted some of the hottest acts of the decade and the tradition of fun-loving Canadians celebrating Countdown has spread to cities around the country.

History

The first Countdown took place in 2005 at the Market Square Boardwalk. The vision was to have the hottest bands perform, with major corporate sponsors promoting the event, and live TV coverage of the entertainment for all Canadians to see how Canada's first incorporated city truly celebrates the coming of our nations birthday. Since 2005 we've only expanded from there.
